I have been trying oh so hard to get all our shopping finished up by this Saturday, so we could just chillax this last week before Christmas. :) I don't think I'll quite make it, but at least most of it is all finished. . . An improvement over last year, which was quite possibly the worst Christmas ever. Mostly due to moving two weeks before and a 5 foot cardboard rocket that caused Jimmy to have temper tantrums until 2:00 a.m. I may have had one thrown in there too.
So in these noble efforts to have a calm and relaxing pre-Christmas week, Ava Carmel and I have been hitting the streets (and the laptop) to get all our ordering and purchasing finished up!
I had put "boots" on the top of her list, because every time we've climbed into the car the last couple weeks, she tells me "mommy, i need some new boots for christmas. mine are stuffed."
Stuffed, as in i am having to stuff my toes into these too-small boots everyday, right? Wouldn't that be your interpretation too?
Finally, yesterday, I was feeling her toes in the boot to see how small they really were. They weren't. I couldn't figure out why she was insisting her toes were so stuffed. And finally it clicked, her boots aren't stuffed, they're scuffed. So I think we'll just get some shoe polish, and call it good. Check.

That door is amazing. I wish I could use it in a photo shoot! Good luck with the rest of your shopping and that little Ava is the sweetest thing! You better fix those "stuffed" boots. You can't have a princess walking around in those! We got your presents yesterday. Not sure if they'll make it in time for xmas but know they are on their way! xoxo
