It's always so nice to look at the pictures taken of rooms, right after we finish them. I wonder how long they stay looking this way?! If it's anything like around here, not long. Not long at all! Yikes, our house is a total disaster today after having a sleepover with cousins last night... But rest assured good times were had!
So anyway, these are some of the pictures from the room we worked up from the inspiration board I posted yesterday.
Since we had a very tight budget set for this room, one thing we really needed was a low-cost solution for a colorful window treatment. Window treatments can be some of the costliest parts of any design project, especially a custom roman shade, which is what I would have normally used with this type of window/room configuration.
So I was super happy to have inspiration strike with these colorful buntings. They read as a window treatment, although they obviously don't provide much privacy (the client already had wood blinds in place, so that was already taken care of).
It's purpose was more just to give the room a little element of surprise and lots of color. And I loved the way they turned out!
We had these ones custom made by knotted nest. She was fabulous! I sent over our inspiration board and asked her to create something that would work within those parameters. (Our only request was no florals, since after all, this is a room shared by two fighter-jet loving boys!)

Very cute. Before I read your post I thought, "Wow, that is the cleanest boy's room (or girl's room)I've ever seen!" It would be lovely if they could stay like that :)but that's not living, is it? Thanks for your help the other day. I'm already loving it.
I looove this room!
Where did you find the awesome red shelf??
The red shelf is from IKEA :)
Hi, are your beds and desk from Ikea too? I love the look of this room. :)
Thanks Kimberly! The client already had the beds and desk... I know the desk is from IKEA, but the beds I am unsure on.
Love the wall color! May I please have the name? :-)
