a sweet little room.

Today we are getting our first big snowstorm!  Well it's kind of a slush storm.  But still, Ava and I are super cozy inside with our Christmas music playing and a warm fire burning.  So while Ava watches Polar Express, I thought I'd share the pictures from her sweet little room.

The little chair in the corner belonged to Jimmy's grandmother, and we just had it reupholstered.  I had originally planned a very colorful pattern for it, but by the time I was really ready to have it done, I knew we would be moving and wanted it to work wherever.  So we went very neutral instead.  The stool was one of my consignment store finds from a while back.  I just painted it a creamy white and had it reupholstered as well.

I think I've posted just about every step of this project so you probably know all the details already, but if you have any questions about things, feel free to ask.  This room was done on a pretty small budget; almost everything was repurposed in some way, but in some ways those are my favorite kinds of projects!

I really like that comfy-looking couch w/ all the pillows! Is the old photograph a neat find or an old family piece with a story?
The room's beautiful :)

Hello,
Can you share the pink and white paint colors with me and also the color of the large frame over her bed?

My daughter's favorite color is pink. Thank you.

So sweet Tiffany! This has inspired my to finish my pre-teens room that we kind of started a month ago. Thanks for the inspiration, hope you are doing well.

Thanks so much everyone. You are all so very sweet!

In answer to the questions :)
Krystal:
The postcard is one I found at an antique shop from our trip to Chicago last summer. It reminded me of my kids playing pioneer in Nauvoo (which was also on that trip) so I bought it!

Rachel:
I bought that fabric from one of our Piper & Chloe vendors. Her name is Sara and her etsy shop is www.flannelqueen.etsy.com. I bet if you showed her the picture, she could get the fabric for you. I didn't see it listed right now.

Tammy:
The pink paint color on the walls is a custom color I had done. It is from Kwal. The tinting base is 2910. The formula is C-1, SS-3, T-1.

The beadboard is painted in Dover White from Sherwin Williams.

For the frame, I dipped an old washcloth in Garden View by Behr and rubbed it on.

Hope that helps!
